Hello! My name is Lillian Graham and I am a recent graduate student of Emerson College in Boston, MA. I recieved my master’s in publishing. In June 2023, I graduated from UC Santa Barbara, receiving my B.A. degree as a double major in sociology and communication and a minor in History.
I am an associate agent with The Kepner Agency, and I am looking to represent a wide variety of both fiction and nonfiction.
For fiction, I am drawn to complex and detailed characters, intriguing structures, and tangible settings. Favorite authors of mine include Janelle Brown, Coco Mellors, and Emily Henry.
For nonfiction, I am interested in anything with a sociological lens (the how and why of society functions), history (particularly on the forgotten women in history), and anything that has both—like Fierce Desires by Rebecca L. Davis.
Experience and Education
Trident Booksellers & Cafe
I work as a bookseller at the best independent bookstore in Boston, from my entirely unbiased perspective. I have enjoyed fostering connections with a fierce book-loving community: customers, coworkers, and, in particular, with the community of writers that uses the store as a hub for poetry readings, writing workshops, and more. This close interaction with writers who are developing their craft has ignited my desire to nurture and develop authors as a career path.
Emerson College
In May 2025, I graduated with my master’s in publishing from their WLP department. I gained a comprehensive understanding of the publishing industry, and I am looking forward to transferring my education and skills that I developed into my career.
University of California, Santa Barbara
I graduated in June 2023 with my bachelor’s degree, double-majoring in sociology and communication, and with a minor in history. It was an incredible college experience, and I miss the beach always!
